After missing all the major National races at the the end of cross country season, due to a prolonged & severe chest infection, Benedict Westhenry returned to competition in style by becoming the South West’s best performer at the London Mini marathoon with a top 10 finish.
The race is over the last 3 miles of the London Marathon race course with the 6 best runners from each of the London Boroughs and 6 English Regions plus Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland. Westhenry was running in the under 17 boys race in which he was one of the younger competitors and came 10th but was 3rd in his year group in a time of 14.56mins.
