13 Weymouth St Paul’s Harriers Athletes aged between 8 and 11 took part in the 1st sports hall competition of the season at Canford School, Poole. The youngsters took part in a in variety of indoor track and field events.
Athletes in school years 4 to 7 took part in the under 13 events, where possible against similar age children.
For the under 13 boys, Robert Hunter won his 4 lap heat and 9th in the standing Long Jump. Louis Cadman came 2nd in his 4 lap heat and 8th in the Speed bounce. Niall Turner came 4th in his 2 lap heat and 11th in the Standing Long Jump. Jamie King came 5th in a strong 6 lap field and 8th in the Standing triple jump. The 4 boys came 5th in the relay.
For the under 13 girls Phoebe Barnes came 1st in her 2 lap heat and 10th in the Long jump and led the relay team to victory. Jodie Clarke came 4th in the par lauf and 7th in the vertical jump and 1st in the relay . Courtney McGregor-Smart came 4th in the Par Lauf , 6th in the vertical jump and 1st in the relay. Robyn Archer came 3rd in her 4 lap heat, 7th in the triple jump and and 1st in the relay.
Emily Fraher came 3rd in her 6 lap heat & 8th in the Triple Jump. Zoe Allen came 4th In her 6 lap heat 2, 13th in the Long Jump and 3rd in the Circuit Relay. Kaila Kirkpatrick came 3rd in her 4 lap heat, 6th in the Shot Putt and 3rd in circuit relay. Adelaide Elson came 4th in the Par Lauf, 11th in the speed bounce and 3rd in circuit relay. Sophia Voss came 4th in the Par lauf, 9th in the Shot Putt and 3rd in circuit relay.
