Ben Westhenry has taken the top spot in the premier cross country series in the country, the McCain UK Cross Challenge after a solid performance in UK Cross Challenge race in Cardiff last weekend, taking 2nd place in the under 15 boy’s race, out of 110 competitors that finished the race.
Westhenry has proved himself the most consistent runner in the series, the only competitor to take podium finishes in all three of the UK Cross Challenge events.

The Weymouth St Pauls Harrier now tops the table with 54 points in the event going into the final which is part of the UK Inter Counties Championship in Birmingham in March.

Ben’s next major race is the Southern region competition at Parliament Hill, London at the end of the month, where he will be competing against the best athletes of his age in the whole of the South of England.
