{"id":37,"date":"2011-02-08T19:41:13","date_gmt":"2011-02-08T19:41:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wsphandac.co.uk\/athletics\/?page_id=37"},"modified":"2011-02-14T17:22:30","modified_gmt":"2011-02-14T17:22:30","slug":"code-of-conduct-for-parentscarers","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.wsphandac.co.uk\/athletics\/about-us\/policies-and-regulations\/code-of-conduct-for-parentscarers\/","title":{"rendered":"Code of Conduct for Parents\/Carers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Parents and Carers should:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Remember that our coaches always place the athlete\u2019s welfare and safety above the development of performance.<\/li>\n<li>Talk to club staff about any questions they may have.<\/li>\n<li>Treat our coaches courteously.<\/li>\n<li>Respect the knowledge of the coaches.<\/li>\n<li>Place their child\u2019s welfare and safety above the desire for short term success.<\/li>\n<li>Develop appropriate working relationships with coaches, based on mutual respect and trust.<\/li>\n<li>Not exert undue pressure on their child to be &#8216;first&#8217;\/ gain PBs etc.<\/li>\n<li>Before making private arrangements with other coaches regarding extra training, should discuss their child\u2019s needs with his \/her coach.
